Lakes Park Engagement Session (Alex & Heidy)

Having your photo taken is not always the most comfortable thing. For most (like me), being in front of the camera feels awkward. I have to admit that this is the case with the majority of my clients. They feel the same way I feel in front of the camera; awkward, uncomfortable, and even anxious.  But, as a photographer, it is my job to make my clients look and feel comfortable and at ease during their session.  And typically, as the session progresses, everyone begins to relax and have fun during their photoshoot.

Being able to capture a moment when someone opens up and reveals their true self is one of my favorite things about my job. I know it’s not easy being in front of the camera, but when someone allows me to capture true emotion and raw moments, it’s an amazing thing to witness!

In this particular engagement session, the couple arrived feeling quite shy and nervous about having photos taken.  But as the session progressed, they became more and more comfortable... you would never guess that they were feeling nervous about having a photoshoot. 

Meet Alex & Heidy!  We went to Lakes Park in Fort Myers for their engagement session. The garden was lush and green. The sun was shining and the weather was perfect.  These are a few of my favorite images captured that day...
